I have been going back and forth about what size journal I want to have for this project. Do I want a 12x12 or a 6x6...blah blah blah. Since I am doing December Daily and Journal Your Christmas I felt like I needed something a little bigger, but in the end, I have chosen to stay with a smaller size journal. It's not as small as a 6x6 ( I need to check the size).
I don't have a photo printer at home and I send all my photo to a photo lab, I will not be using a lot of my own photos. Sometimes I will leave a blank space for one of my photos, but if I find something pretty, I just might use that instead.
I love music. I add playlist to almost every journal I make. I have made two playlist for this holiday season. This is playlist one: Holiday 2009 and playlist two: Oh Pretty. Holiday 2009 playlist is holiday music and Oh pretty playlist is not holiday music.
Before:
For as long as I can remember, Christmas was never my favorite holiday. I never got excited for it to come. I never wanted to leave cookies and milk out. I liked getting gifts, but all kids do. I never talked about it--I was always like "whatever". I need to change the way I think about the holidays. This year is going to be different! That is why it is very important for me to document this years Christmas.
Day One: Manifesto
Starting today December first, I will keep a Christmas journal. In it, I will write something every day to reflect on the holidays of my past, enjoy the holidays of the present and dream about holidays in the future. To some, this would be a stack of papers and trivial scribbles, but not to me. I am taking my Christmas! I am letting it be something I relish and most importantly I am giving at least fifteen minutes of myself, every day, no matter how crazy this season becomes. This Christmas i will make something with my own hands, my won words and My own memories.

Day Two: Weather
It's just starting to get cold here in San Francisco. I love cold weather more than any other. I love bundling up, drinking hot apple cider. this season I want to do a lot of cuddling, drinking more hot apple cider and watching Christmas movies (old ones).
I will post day 3, 4 and 5 on Sunday
Don't forget to read Meg-Pies post below

I love this idea! I am actually having a hard time getting into the holidays this year. I'm trying, but I still feel "meh." Although our colder weather here in SF is helping a little. Will you be braving the long lines at the skating rinks this year?
