Hi friends.I'm so excited to be back as a guest robot here at polka dot robot. For those of you unfamiliar with me I am Jeremy, some of you may know me as jeremyk123. When I'm not taking a day off to be a robot, I can often be found on my blog Just Me. I also like to hang out at a few other spots here on the world wide web, but you can find links to all those cool places on my blog.
Before I say anything more, let me start by saying, how amazing have the guest bloggers ahead of me been? I am so honoured to be featured here amonst all of the talent that has already blogged and who is going to blog after me. So lets get at the fun I have planned for you. . ..
Growing up, reading was a huuge part of my childhood. There are a number of books that I read during my childhood that stand out in my mind still to this day as stories that I loved, stories that inspired me. Some of those include, Bridge to Terabithia, The Hungry Caterpillar, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and of course Where the Wild Things are. So naturally I would be super excited about the new Where the Wild Things are movie coming out later this fall.
I am still so inspired by the original Where the Wild Things Are but the new movie is creating a lot of buzz about the whole concept therefore creating tons of new sources of Where the Wild Things Are inspiration. One of those sources , is the new movie itself. In case you haven't seen it (if you haven't you are missing out) here is one of the amazing trailers for the movie.
I love the hand drawn type there's something just so charming about it, and my memories of the book and about reading the book are charming so it seems so fitting to me. (also how amazing is that song by the arcade fire? love it) The lovely hand drawn type is continued throughout on the rad promo posters:
I seriously can't say how much I love the hand drawn type - its bordering on an obsession.
Here is some lovely inspired ink:
And the most inspiring Where the Wild Things Are source is this amazing blog.
